When someone asks an AI who to call, be the answer.

Nearly half of consumers now ask ChatGPT or another assistant who to hire. We ask them the questions your buyers ask, in your city, and report whether you came up. Then we give the assistants something to cite.

What the check looks at.

12 of the report's checks, in the report's own words. Your report drops any that cannot apply to your business.

  • You talk about cost

  • You compare options

At least one page comparing options, brands, or repair versus replace.

  • You review what you sell

At least one page reviewing products or brands you sell or install.

  • Best-of content

At least one 'best' page (best brands, best options, best for a situation) with your own opinion in it.

  • Questions buyers ask AI

The list of questions we put to the AI tools, kept only when real people across the US search for that topic (the search counts are national, not local). There is nothing to pass or fail here.

  • Perplexity

Your business named in all three of the three times we asked Perplexity the question.

  • Competitors mentioned by AI

How often your two competitors are named in the same AI answers. There is nothing to pass or fail here.

  • What AI gets wrong about you

Nothing AI says about your business that contradicts a fact we verified, such as your address, phone, services or hours.

  • Readable by machines

At least 70 percent of your page text still there when scripts are turned off.

  • AI crawlers not blocked

None of the crawlers behind ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or Google's AI blocked in your site's robots file.

  • Talked about elsewhere

At least two mentions of your business on Reddit, Nextdoor, Yelp or YouTube.

What we do about it.

  1. 1

Ask the assistants who to call for each of your services in your area and record who they name.

  2. 2

Write the answers to the questions buyers ask, on your own site, so there is a source to point to.

  3. 3

Ask again every month and show the change.
